Working with the Chart window

The Chart window is your primary tool for visualizing the behavior of your circuits. It turns raw simulation numbers into readable graphs, allowing you to analyze voltage, current, and timing at a glance.
Generating Data
Generating Data
The chart will remain empty until a simulation is performed. To populate the chart:
- Click the Run Simulation button (located in the Schematic or Spice Editor windows, or in the top-right of the application header).
- Once the simulation completes, your data series will automatically plot.
Once your data is plotted, you can interact with the graph using these tools:
- Chart Tooltips: Toggle these on/off to see specific names and values displayed as you hover your cursor over the plot lines.

- Zooming: Use the scroll bar at the bottom to drag and zoom into specific time intervals.

- Reset View: Click the Zoom to Extents button to quickly reset the view and see the entire simulation range.

- Settings Panel: Use the toggle to hide or expand the Chart Settings for more advanced control.

Using the Chart Settings Panel
The Settings Panel allows you to fine-tune your visualization:

- Axis Control: Manually set the start and end time ranges for the horizontal axis. You can also independently configure the vertical axes for Voltage (V) and Current (A).
- Series Management: View a list of all plotted series. Here, you can edit the Name or Color of each line to make your chart easier to read.
- Statistics: View automatically calculated values for each series, including:
- Min: The lowest recorded value.
- Max: The highest recorded value.
- Avg: The mathematical average across the simulation range.
Note: We are currently working on Custom Calculated Values—this feature is coming soon to the Chart Settings panel!
