Error pages and what they mean
A guide to the full page errors in CircuitSim, what each one is telling you, and what to do next.

Some failures replace the whole page rather than showing a message inside the editor. Each page has a distinct heading, so the heading tells you which category of problem you have hit.
The pages

Something went wrong.
Try again. If the problem continues, contact support so we can help.
Reload the page first, since many of these are transient. When the message includes an error ID it reads:
Try again. If the problem continues, contact support with error ID: 3f9a2c11.
Copy that ID. It lets support find the exact failure in the logs.
Page Not Found
We couldn't find the page you're looking for.
Please verify the URL or return to the homepage.
Usually a mistyped address, an old bookmark, or a link to a circuit that was deleted or made private. If someone sent you the link, ask them to confirm the item still exists.
Permission denied
This page is restricted and you do not have the required permissions to access it.
The page exists and your account cannot open it. This covers circuits and components owned by other people, and group pages you are not a member of. Ask the owner to share the item, or to add you to the group.
Check which account you are signed in as before asking. Access granted to one address does nothing for a different one.
Authentication error
Please try signing in again.
You land here when the redirect back from Google or GitHub did not complete, or when a sign in code could not be exchanged for a session. Press Try again and sign in from the log in page. See I cannot sign in for the rest of the sign in problems.
That didn't work...
This page shows the reason underneath the heading, along with Error: and Code: rows:
Email link is invalid or has expired.
Access was denied.
Something went wrong. Please try again.
An expired link is the common one. Request a fresh email from the verification page or the log in page, then use the newest one. Access denied means the consent step at Google or GitHub was refused, so try again and accept the prompt.
Unsupported schematic version

Refresh the page to pick up the current editor build.
If a page keeps failing
Reload once, then try a private window to rule out extensions and stale cookies. If it survives both, open the chat in the bottom right corner with the address you were on, the heading you saw, and the error ID if one was shown.
