Share a circuit with a group
Group sharing gives members access to your original circuit, at view level or edit level, without making it public.

Group sharing is the way to give a specific set of people access to a circuit while it stays private to everyone else. It is also the only way to let someone else save changes to your circuit.
Sharing does not copy
A group share writes a permission record pointing at your circuit. The circuit stays yours, stays in your My circuits list, and counts against your plan rather than anyone else's. Members open the same circuit you do, so a change one of you saves is the change everybody sees.
Only the owner can share a circuit to a group. Someone else attempting it gets Only the circuit owner can share it to a group.
Sharing from the editor
Open the circuit, turn on the Properties panel, and open the Share With Groups section. It is available to editors only.
- Use the add control, tooltipped Add group share, to create a row. Its disabled tooltip is No additional groups available once every group you belong to is already listed.
- Pick the group from the Group select.
- Set what members may do under Group members can. View and interact lets them open the circuit and run simulations. Modify and save lets them edit and save it.
Remove a row with Remove group share. With nothing shared yet, the section reads No groups yet. Use Add to share this circuit with a group.
Three guards can stop you:
- Save the circuit before sharing it with a group. Save first, then share.
- Join or create a group before sharing. You are not in any groups yet.
- All available groups are already listed. Every eligible group already has a row.
Sharing a lot of circuits quickly is rate limited, with the message You are sharing circuits too quickly. Please wait a bit and try again.
Sharing from the group
Inside a group, the circuits tab is headed Circuits shared to this group ({n}) and any member can use its Share a circuit button to pick one of their own circuits. Before anything is shared, the tab reads No circuits shared to this group yet.
Members can filter that list between All and Mine, search it, sort by recency or name, and switch between list and grid views.
Visibility inside the group
New shares take the group's default share visibility. A group set to hide shares by default means only you, the sharer, and the group admins and owners see a newly shared circuit until an admin reveals it.
Group admins and owners, and the person who shared, get per row controls: Hide from members and Unhide from members, marked with a Hidden chip, and Remove from group with a confirmation. The toasts are Hidden from members., Made visible to members., and Removed from group.
Editing rights and conflicts
Modify and save is real edit access. Two people editing the same circuit will eventually collide, and the second save raises the conflict dialog described in resolve-a-save-conflict. Save often and agree on who is working where.
Group sharing versus public
The two settings are independent. A private circuit shared with a group stays out of Public circuits and out of search results for non members. Making a circuit public is a separate decision, covered in public-and-private-circuits.
