Monthly or annual billing

Standard and Premium bill either monthly or yearly. Yearly costs less per month, and you can move between the two at any point.

Each paid plan bills on one of two cycles. Monthly charges you every month, and yearly charges you once for twelve months at a lower effective rate. The toggle above the plan cards on the pricing page switches between them, labeled Yearly · save ~{n}% and Monthly.
How the prices are shown
Yearly is selected when the page opens. In that mode each card shows a per month equivalent with the caption billed annually and the full yearly total in parentheses, so you can compare it against the monthly figure directly. Switching to Monthly shows the monthly price with billed monthly.
Standard starts from $2.99 per month or from $30 per year, and Premium from $8.99 per month or from $90 per year. Check the pricing page for the figure that applies to your account, since the amounts there come from Stripe at page load. A price that cannot be read shows as Unavailable.
The toggle also changes what the buttons do. A card that read Current plan under one interval becomes Switch to monthly or Upgrade to yearly under the other.
Moving from monthly to yearly
This counts as an upgrade and takes effect the same day. A dialog headed Switch to yearly billing? explains the arithmetic before you commit: your yearly plan starts today, you are charged the annual price minus credit for the unused part of the current month, and it renews a full year from that date. The confirm button carries the amount.
Afterward the Renews metric on your billing page reads Yearly on the new date.
Moving from yearly to monthly
This counts as a downgrade, so it happens at your renewal rather than today. The dialog is headed Change plan at renewal?:
You'll keep Premium until 12 March 2027, then move to Premium (monthly). You won't be charged now, and nothing you've made is affected.
Confirming schedules the change. Your plan card then shows a note that you are scheduled to switch, and the pricing page shows Scheduled on the affected card. To call it off, re-select your current plan and interval under View plans before the renewal date.
Which one to pick
Yearly costs less over twelve months and gives you one charge to track, which suits a course or a project that runs for a term or longer. Monthly costs less up front and lets you stop after any month, which suits short bursts of work.
Neither cycle changes your limits. Standard on monthly and Standard on yearly include the same ten circuits, ten custom components, fifteen components per circuit, private work, and full set of analyses.
Where to see your cycle
Plan & billing shows it under Renews, as either Monthly on or Yearly on a date, alongside Renewal price for the next charge. Payment methods, invoices, and receipts covers the rest of that page.
