What the free Basic plan includes
Basic gives you five circuits, five custom components, five components per circuit, and five of the seven analyses, with no card and no time limit.

Basic is the free plan every CircuitSim account starts on. There is no card to enter, no trial clock, and no expiry date. On the billing page its Renews value reads Always free.
What you get

- 5 custom components
- Up to 5 components per circuit, leaving out probes, net labels, and grounds
- Core simulations: Interactive, Interactive Operating Point, Transient, AC Sweep, and DC Operating Point
- Public sharing
That covers the full editor, the component library of over 3,000 parts, the custom component editor, exports, the forum, and groups you have been invited to.
What Basic leaves out
Circuits and components you save on Basic are public, so anyone with the link can open and copy them. The Plan usage card states this directly with the footnote Circuits and components on Basic are public.
Two analyses sit above Basic. DC Sweep and Parameter Sweep are Standard and Premium features. In Simulation settings they appear disabled with the tooltip Standard plan required.
When you reach a limit
Limits are checked when you create something. Trying to add a sixth circuit brings up a dialog headed Circuit limit reached:
You've reached the 5 circuit limit included with your Basic plan. Upgrade to Standard or Premium to create more.
The custom component version is headed Custom component limit reached and reads the same way. Saving a private circuit brings up Private circuits are a paid feature:
Basic plans only include public circuits. Upgrade to Standard or Premium to save private circuits.
Every one of these dialogs offers Not now and View plans. The privacy ones add Make public and save, which saves the circuit publicly and lets you carry on.
Watching your usage
The Plan usage card on Plan & billing shows meters for Circuits and Custom components as a used-of-limit figure. The bar turns amber at 80 percent of the limit and red once you are at it. In the editor, a counter at the bottom left of the schematic tracks components in the circuit you have open.
Staying on Basic
Nothing pushes you off Basic. Drafts are not counted against your circuit or component totals, so experiments that you never promote to a real circuit stay free of the limit. Deleting a circuit frees a slot straight away.
