Plan limits explained
Four limits move with your plan: circuits, custom components, components per circuit, and whether your work can be private. All are checked at creation.

Every CircuitSim plan sets four limits: how many circuits you own, how many custom components you own, how many components fit in one circuit, and whether your work can be private.

How the counts work
The circuit and component totals count what you own and have saved. Drafts are left out, and drafts are cleared after 24 hours. Promoting a draft into a real circuit counts as creating one.
The per circuit count leaves out probes, net labels, and grounds, which is spelled out wherever the cap appears. What counts toward the per-circuit component limit lists the exact parts.
Limits are checked when you create
Gates fire on creation, and on increases past the cap. Nothing is deleted or hidden when your plan changes. Work that sits above your current limit stays viewable, editable, and deletable, and a save that keeps the count the same or brings it down always goes through.
That means a Premium circuit with 40 components still opens and still simulates after a move to Standard. What you cannot do is add a 41st component while Standard is in force.
The dialog you will see
One dialog covers every limit, with a title that names the one you hit: Circuit limit reached, Custom component limit reached, Component limit exceeded, Private circuits are a paid feature, Private components are a paid feature, or This simulation type is a paid feature. On Standard, the circuit version reads:
You've reached the 10 circuits limit included with your Standard plan. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited circuits.
Not now closes it and View plans goes to the pricing page. Creating a circuit while at the limit sends you to My circuits with the dialog already open.
If a check is reached on the server rather than in the browser, the same limit arrives as a short message such as You have reached your plan's circuit limit. or Private circuits require a Standard or Premium plan.
Tracking usage before you hit anything
Plan usage on Plan & billing shows Circuits and Custom components as a used-of-limit figure, or as a used count with Unlimited on Premium. The bar turns amber at 80 percent and red at 100 percent. Underneath sit two footnotes covering the per circuit cap and privacy, worded to match your plan, for example Up to 15 components per circuit (not counting probes, net labels, and grounds). and Private circuits and components included.
Freeing up room
Deleting a circuit or a custom component returns a slot immediately. Splitting one large schematic into smaller circuits trades per circuit headroom for circuit slots. Beyond that, Upgrade your plan raises all four limits at once.
