Email and display preferences

Turn marketing emails on or off, set whether your forum profile is public, and reopen your cookie choices, all from one panel.

Marketing email, forum profile visibility, and cookie choices sit together on one panel. Open Account, then Preferences.
Communications
The Receive marketing emails toggle controls product and marketing mail. Its helper text reads Opt in to receive product updates and marketing communications.
This is the same setting as the Keep me up to date on CircuitSim updates and offers checkbox on the sign-up form. Ticking that box during sign-up leaves this toggle on, and turning the toggle off here overrides the choice you made then.
Turning it off stops product announcements and offers. Mail that belongs to your account still arrives, such as password resets and confirmation codes, because those are responses to something you did rather than marketing.
Forum
The Make my forum profile public toggle decides who can open your forum activity profile. Its helper text reads When disabled, only moderators and you can view your forum activity profile.
See Make your forum profile public or private for what the profile page contains and what other members see when the toggle is off.
Cookies
Manage cookie preferences is a link rather than a toggle. Pressing it reopens the cookie consent dialog you saw on your first visit, so you can change what you allowed without clearing your browser data or waiting for the banner to reappear.
Changes save as you make them
There is no save button on this panel. Each toggle writes its new value the moment you flip it, and a toast confirms it: Preference saved for marketing email, and Forum profile preference saved for the forum toggle.
A failure shows Failed to save preference and the toggle slides back to where it was. That snap-back is the signal that nothing changed. Wait a moment and flip it again, since a brief network drop is the common cause.
Because a reverted toggle looks much like one you never touched, check its position after any failure message rather than assuming the setting took.
What lives elsewhere
Your name, display name, and profile address are on the Profile tab. See Edit your profile.
Your password and account deletion are on the Security tab. See Change your password.
